About TEDxBoston 2010
At TEDxBoston 2010, where x = independently organized TED event, we honor local innovators who have the passion, curiosity, and tenacity to change the world with their revolutionary ideas.
We're bringing together storied professors, inspiring entrepreneurs, forward thinkers, radical architects, intriguing designers, brilliant scientists and astounding performers who make the greater Boston area one of the most exciting and promising cities in which to launch a business or a social enterprise.
You'll hear new ways of thinking about democracy and globalization in the 21st century. You'll learn about breakthroughs in treating spinal cord injury, fabricating a home, and harnessing the ocean's power. You'll be motivated by designers and social entrepreneurs who are accelerating innovation in Boston and improving the lives of citizens around the world, and you'll be amazed by artists who use music and movement to inspire us all.

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBoston, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBoston event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
